The Board of Directors and management of ETA Group of companies believe the health and safety of its employees is vital to the successful functioning of the organization. Hence, great emphasis is given to the well-being of all personnel to guard against incidents, accidents & occupational diseases and the associated losses arising out of the same.
Occupational health and safety precautions are taken at every step of the work related process to avoid incidents and accidents, which may cause injury, damage machinery and destroy materials or impact the environment. Implementation of health and safety is a line responsibility and the voluntarily health and safety of personnel is a catalyst to ensure that the measures for human security are carried out as a Group mandatory requirement.
To observe a healthy and safe working environment and to encourage safe behaviours through self-motivation and to reduce risk related factors, the ETA Group discourages at all levels of the organization, all types of unsafe conduct, behaviours and practices and has embedded a zero toleranceî culture.
Occupational health and safety measures are earnestly followed in all aspects and at all levels of the organization. Furthermore, information on the same is circulated amongst the employees in order to create awareness and proper understanding.
The health and safety personnel within Group Companies function independently under the Corporate HSE Department. Every activity undergoes a risk and/or impact assessment and all employees are made aware of the severity of the hazards and the required control measures. Periodic objectives are set to ensure continual improvement in the Health & Safety performance through risk identification aiming for elimination / reduction. All International, National and local legislation and supporting regulations, codes of practice and contractual obligations are duly complied.
Occupational Health & Safety Systems are in line with internationally accepted standards and the health and safety performance is regularly monitored internally and via third party agencies and linked to the annual performance appraisal of the employees, along with the overall business performance.
All employees are expected to display their commitment to health and safety matters by setting a positive example to their subordinates.
