Position Summary: To lead and manage the contracts & commercial support functions within the Business Units in order to provide excellent support to engineering, project development, sales & marketing and project delivery functions.

Business Unit: Engineering Vertical

Operating Unit: M&E Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of contractual letter from clients and major subcontractors and responding or reviewing / providing contractual assistance for the same.
  • Respond / offer assistance / draft in timely manner.
  • Timely notification of known delays / disruptions /extra work by making regular contemporary records through projects term as delays stoppage arise.
  • Liaison with project team in seeking extension of time and drafting where applicable also formulation of variation orders.
  • Revision / assist project team in preparation of claims, regular tracking and follow-up of claims.
  • Update copy of signed contract documents to include all amendments and search out pre-award letters.
  • Post contract administration of contracts including processing of interim invoice applications, re-measurement of work and preparation / evaluation of claims variations and settlement of final accounts.
  • Liaise with the contracts control division, finance and legal dept to ensure that contract strategies, tender and contracts are in full compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordination for preparation of contracts appreciation documents.
  • Claim and change management with clients and subcontractors.
  • Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business improvement.
  • Research vendor’s / supplier’s capabilities; identity a pool of candidate vendors / suppliers for project consideration.
  • Conduct the financial and contract negotiations at the appropriate management level.
  • Review tender documents and offer comments on condition of contract favoring the company and convey the risk evaluation of various terms and conditions.

Educational Qualifications: Bsc Quantity Survey / Contract Management / degree in law specializing in the construction industry

Years of Experience:: Should have 15 to 20 years of experience, Minimum 5 years of Experience in the GCC Region

Position Summary: The position will be responsible for the claims management for the Vertical. Devise a strategy on the claims management and support the OpCos across the geographies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of project contract details in relation to claims management.
  • Comprehension and application of construction contracting terms and conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for risk and opportunity management together with project management.
  • Conduct contract/claim management training and workshops.
  • Developing, collaborating and implementing regular claim strategy and reviews of large projects together with project management.
  • Contribute to reporting of claims to project management, finance, legal and business management.
  • Support legal group in preparation of arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings regarding project claims.
  • Review and provide claim advice relating to large profile commercial and government construction contracts/subcontracts, bids and project implementation issues.
  • Investigate, manage and resolve major commercial and government construction projects and contract conflicts and claims with owners, design professionals and subcontractors.
  • Assisting clients and stakeholders to avoid liability claims and work closely with in-house litigation.
  • Develop risk mitigation and settlement negotiation strategies and to finalize claims, when necessary.
  • Regularly review outstanding claims and liaise with the Management Finance Department to ensure the adequacy of claim reserves.
  • Control and monitor the appointment of Loss Adjuster and carry out minor surveys.
  • Prepare all statistics required by Management including Claim cost Average Claim Ratio.
  • Achieve monthly team targets in terms of claims processed Communicate with other department managers pertaining to issues related to claims processing and vice versa.
  • Manage process claims targets and quality check of data efficiency of the staff members according to operational measures.

Position Summary: This position will work with senior QAQC manager to direct and implement all activities related to quality assurance of products and services provided by the organization for the project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of project specific quality plans and inspection and test plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants in review & approval of quality plan & inspection test plans.
  • Ensure works are in compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and agreed methodology and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Coordination and of validation of materials delivered to site.
  • Direct inspection activities in conjunction with main contractor.

ETAENGG005 : MEP Coordination Manager

Job Overview – Job Ref ID: ETAENGG005

Position Summary: To coordinate with Main Contractors, Consultant, Internal teams, Other trade contractors engineering staff on all aspects of MEP works and ensure that provisions are made, coordinated and requirements are met as per specification, design drawings, authorities’ requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • To supervise the production of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the building structure/finishes and complying with the contract requirements.
  • Ensure all builders’ works & coordination drawings are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and main contractor.
  • Provide reminders, in advance, to the Project Director and Construction Manager for any anticipated conflict that may happen in the future with respect to the simultaneous activities of all MEP trades and main contractors.
  • Follow up the status of material and shop drawings and keep all parties informed of the status & delays.
  • Follow up the implementation of the Client’s comments in timely manner.
  • Distribute detailed information, documents and regulations as applicable to all concerned parties and ensure their acknowledgement and adherence to its contents.
  • Check the activities on site and provide the necessary reminders to the Project Director, Construction Manager and the Planning Engineer for any immediate action.
  • At project close out co-ordinate the production of as built drawings and O&M manuals to ensure they are delivered as per the contract requirements in terms of quality and time.
  • Attend meetings and Coordinate with Main contractor’s MEP Coordinator, Consultants and other Engineering staff.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor in Engineering

Years of Experience: 10 to 15 Years

Nature of Experience:

  • Candidate should have experience in high and mixed used project with residential, commercial, hotel, and basement car-park & plant rooms. Candidates to preferably Gulf Experience.
